Currently we have a
FEA Engineer
open. As a member of the Engineering team one will design mechanisms, structures and controls for crane products to meet Link-Belt goals of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Environmental.
Essential Job Functions
Design or redesign component assemblies and parts of new and existing machines
Service as Design Project Leader and Cross Functional Team Leader when assigned
Provide status reports as needed
Generate cost effective designs
Establish project time estimates
Write project appropriations
Write test plans
Plan and supervise test of new and redesigned products
Perform a full range of theoretical calculations and select the most appropriate materials
Be aware of and keep up to date on applicable crane codes and standards (SAE, ISO, PCSA, etc.)
Be aware of machine field service problems and take corrective action
Direct and check the work of others on specific projects or sub-projects (drawings, calculations, bill of materials, etc.)
Provide technical guidance to others inside and outside the department
Ensure organization and maintenance of machine calculations
General qualifications for this role:
Four (4) year college degree
BS in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical)
Minimum of four (4) year of proven design experience in the crane industry or seven (7) years in the heavy equipment industry
